Email Copy Writing Hack

We recently assisted a client with creating an Email sequence Copy Writing for their Klaviyo account. Though we’re proficient in writing blog posts and press releases, email copy creation requires a different approach.

The Requirement:

Here’s what the client asked for:

  • 30 email copies sequenced for each day, logically connected to the next.
  • Each email should be short, within 300 words, using simple terms.
  • Product links included to encourage sign-ups.
  • No content repetition.
  • Well-researched and accurate material.
  • Engaging hooks and magnets.
  • Delivery within two days.
  • Klaviyo flow setup.
  • Testing and monitoring.
  • Fixes if any issues arise.

These requirements came from a client well-known in the medical industry, emphasizing the importance of getting it right.

Our Process:

We began by learning about their site, products, and other services to focus on the right content. After some discussion, we created a test copy that the client loved.

We utilized ChatGPT for email copy creation, starting with a series of test prompts.

Here’s the final prompt we used:

“You are an email content expert. We need to create a 30-day email sequence for a medical service company. Now we are on day 1 of our 30-day SMART weight loss email series, but do not mention that. Write an email on reasons why I am not losing weight yet even after following everything, and what needs to change. Keep the email under 300 words. Provide an amazing intro and emotional hook at the start. Keep it creative, engaging, and use hooks and exciting words.”

This prompt was fine-tuned after several iterations.

From this base prompt, all I had to do was change the day number and the topic for each email, which produced excellent results.

With proper planning and a short turnaround time, we created 30 email sequence copies. These were then reviewed by our writers and grammar tools to remove any unnecessary words.

Finally, we added emojis, links, and product buttons to make the emails visually appealing before sending them to the client for review.

Result

The client took a day to review the emails and was thrilled with the output and quality of the email sequence copies. They were so impressed that they asked us to set up the Klaviyo email flow, which we completed in a couple of hours.

We also went the extra mile by creating a free e-book for their customers, which the client loved and included in their email sequence.

Thanks to our efficient and high-quality efforts, our client now has an optimal email sequence flow for their business, which has already attracted new customers.

Conclusion

This case study speaks for itself. With the help of artificial intelligence and human effort, we completed and delivered high-quality work in just a few hours. While AI tools can be used for various purposes, human expertise and a personal touch remain invaluable. Our team’s planning, research, and hard work resulted in 12 new orders for our client post-email sequence setup.

Thinking differently and understanding the client’s needs were crucial in achieving this success.
