How I Use AI in My Work and Everyday Life?

AI has become a normal part of my day.

I use it for client research, technical SEO, WordPress problems, coding, content planning, financial reviews and even family travel. Most of the value comes from solving small, recurring problems that would otherwise consume my attention.

I have tried ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. All three have their strengths, but ChatGPT is currently my primary AI tool. I am comfortable with it because it brings regular chat, coding agents, plugins, MCP connections and reusable skills into one place. And here how i use AI for my personal and work.

Gemini is still useful for certain tasks, particularly research and travel planning. I do not spend much time arguing about which AI model is the best. I choose the tool that fits the work.

These are the main ways I use AI in my personal and professional life.

Start by choosing one main AI tool, Not everything;

My first suggestion is straightforward: pick one primary AI assistant and learn how to use it properly. Because there is too many tools saying, they can turn your world in a day, but those all ok, but using too many make make you distracted. So find your the ONE!

Moving between five different tools can create more distraction than value. When you stay with one main platform, it gradually becomes familiar with your work, preferences and usual processes.

I use ChatGPT as a kind of dedicated AI workspace. It helps me think through problems, continue unfinished projects, check previous decisions and connect different parts of my work.

Once that foundation is working, I bring in Gemini, Claude or a specialist tool when there is a clear reason.

1. Researching trends, industries and competitors

Research is a major part of my work as a growth marketer and technical SEO consultant.

I need to follow search trends, industry updates, competitor activity, changing customer behaviour and new marketing tools. AI helps me collect and organise this information faster.

For example, I may ask it to track a group of topics, study how competitors have changed their branding or compare how different companies position a similar service. I can then explore the useful findings instead of opening twenty tabs without a clear direction.

I still check the original sources. AI can misunderstand a page, mix up dates or repeat information that is no longer accurate. I use it to accelerate research, not to replace verification.

This research supports the growth strategy and technical SEO work I do for clients.

2. Coding, WordPress and technical troubleshooting

I am not a full-time software engineer, but I work with websites almost every day.

I use AI to help me debug WordPress problems, investigate hosting issues, review landing pages and develop small plugins. It is particularly useful when an error message tells me very little about the actual problem.

Instead of randomly changing settings, I can provide the error, explain what happened and ask the coding agent to investigate possible causes. It can inspect files, compare configurations and help me test a solution.

I have also used AI while developing WordPress plugins and reusable marketing tools. It makes development more accessible, but I still need to define what the tool should do and test whether it works safely.

A piece of code that looks convincing can still break a website.

3. Checking Search Console without repeatedly logging in

I connected Google Search Console to my AI workflow through MCP.

This allows me to check organic traffic, clicks, impressions, search queries and unusual drops from within the same conversation where I am analysing the website.

I do not have to log into Search Console and rebuild the same filters every time I want a quick answer. I can ask questions such as:

  • Which pages lost clicks this month?
  • Did branded searches increase?
  • Which queries are gaining impressions?
  • Is the traffic decline affecting the whole website or a small group of pages?

The connection saves time, but the bigger benefit is continuity. I can move from finding a traffic problem to discussing possible causes and next actions in the same place.

4. Turning podcasts and videos into learning notes

I listen to podcasts and watch YouTube videos about marketing, technology, business and personal development.

The difficult part is remembering what was useful after the episode ends.

AI helps me summarise episodes, identify the main arguments and turn them into action points, learning notes and content ideas. If an episode is one hour long, I can review the summary and return to the sections that deserve more attention.

This does not replace listening. Tone, context and personal stories often disappear from a summary. It helps me keep the useful lessons instead of forgetting them the next morning.

5. Planning social media content

I am serious about growing my personal brand on LinkedIn, X and YouTube.

AI helps me research topics, study useful content formats and build a realistic publishing plan. I use it to explore hooks, find different angles and adapt one idea for several platforms.

For example, a technical SEO observation could become a detailed LinkedIn post, a shorter opinion on X and a practical YouTube video.

I avoid copying the same message everywhere. Each platform has a different reading behaviour, and the content should respect that.

AI gives me options. I decide which ideas sound like me, which ones are useful and which ones should be deleted.

6. Managing development work through GitHub

I have connected GitHub with my ChatGPT and Codex workflow.

When I create a WordPress plugin, marketing skill or internal tool, AI can help me inspect the project, improve the documentation and prepare the changes for GitHub.

This gives me a clearer history of what changed and makes it easier to return to a project later.

It is also useful when I have several experiments running. Instead of keeping random code files on my computer, I can organise the work into proper projects.

7. Writing content without handing over my voice

I do not fully depend on AI to write finished articles.

In my experience, untreated AI writing is often generic. The grammar may be correct, but the article can feel empty, repetitive and too polished. It may use many words without saying anything memorable.

My process begins with my own thoughts. Sometimes I type them. Sometimes, like with this article, I record a voice dictation without worrying about grammar.

AI helps me organise the ideas and create a readable first draft. I then use editing instructions that remove common AI language and keep my natural voice. After that, I review the article myself, use Grammarly where needed and add supporting details such as examples, sources, quotations or original results.

This process saves time while keeping me responsible for the final article.

The same principle applies to SEO content and organic traffic. Publishing more words is not the goal. The content should answer a real question and give the reader something useful.

8. Understanding my finances

I also use AI for personal financial reviews.

I can organise information from statements, group expenses and understand where my money is going. It helps me notice recurring costs, unnecessary subscriptions and areas where I should budget more carefully.

Financial information needs extra caution. I avoid sharing passwords, card numbers, OTPs or other credentials. I also do not treat AI output as professional financial advice.

It is useful for organising the numbers and preparing better questions. Important financial decisions still need reliable documents and, when required, advice from a qualified professional.

9. Organising notes and files

Over time, Google Drive and computer folders can become a collection of screenshots, drafts, reports and files with names that no longer make sense.

AI helps me develop a folder structure, rename files consistently and organise notes by project or topic. It can also turn scattered thoughts into a useful checklist or project brief.

This sounds like a small use case, but reducing digital clutter makes it easier to focus. I spend less time looking for a file that I know exists somewhere.

10. Planning family travel

One of my favourite personal uses of AI is travel planning.

A few months ago, my family travelled to Singapore and Malaysia. Gemini helped us plan most of the trip.

It created day-by-day itineraries, suggested places we could visit as a family, checked practical details and helped us estimate prices. We could update the plan when our timing changed or when we wanted a less demanding day.

The final decisions were ours, and we still checked important information such as opening hours, tickets and transport. But the planning process was much easier.

This is a good example of what technology should do: solve an ordinary problem and give people more time to enjoy the experience.

So Do i fully depend on AI? – Not Really

ChatGPT and Gemini both make mistakes. They can misunderstand instructions, use outdated information or sound confident about something that is wrong.

I do not give AI complete control over client decisions, published content, website changes or sensitive personal information. I review the work and keep backups when a change could affect a live website.

Security also matters. People should understand what they are sharing, where the information is being stored and which tools have access to their accounts. Never paste passwords, private client data or confidential financial details into a chat because it feels convenient.

Build your AI Brain

AI has helped me improve my research, learn new technologies, organise my ideas and reduce unnecessary distractions. It has also made technical work more accessible to me.

If you are a marketer, consultant or agency owner, consider building a dedicated AI workspace around the tasks you repeat every week. Start with one problem rather than connecting every tool immediately.

You could begin by summarising your weekly research, reviewing Search Console data or turning voice notes into a content outline. Test the result, correct the mistakes and improve the process over time.

Use AI to think more clearly and complete useful work. Keep your judgement, experience and responsibility in the process.
